Centre for Behaviour and Health Qualitative Research Methods Seminar Series

The qualitative research methods seminar series comprises invited speakers, master classes and workshops. An overall aim of this is to explore ways of improving practice and augmenting qualitative research that is carried out in a range of domains. It is a forum that necessitates the collaboration of various researchers. The qualitative dynamic of the Geary Institute supplements the quantitative research through contextualizing and refining attitudinal and behavioural content. A great deal can be gained on tracking experiences through adopting a survey design. More insight is however needed and can be acquired through utilizing qualitative methodological approaches. For example, in order to gather in-depth understandings of patient perceptions of healthcare, it is useful to breach static ways of thinking.
