Support Worker<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Public health campaigns on routine parenting issues<\/li>\n<li>Support worker to help access agency services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Child Development Materials<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>\u20ac100 pa in educational toys and developmental materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Green Group (high treatment)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>All 115 families in the\u00a0high treatment group <strong>receive the same three supports as the Blue Group in addition to the following three high intensity supports<\/strong> for 5 years.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>One-to-One Mentoring<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Home visits from a trained mentor<\/li>\n<li>Frequency of the visits depends on the needs of the families,\u00a0with the majority\u00a0of families receiving fortnightly visits, and some monthly<\/li>\n<li>Mentors support and help parents with key parenting issues from pre-birth to age 5<\/li>\n<li>Visits last\u00a0 from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the needs of the family<\/li>\n<li>Visits are focused in the following 5 areas:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-birth<\/li>\n<li>Nutrition<\/li>\n<li>Rest and Routine<\/li>\n<li>Cognitive and Social Development<\/li>\n<li>Mother and her Supports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Group Parent Training Programme<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Based on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.triplep.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Triple P Positive Parenting Programme<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Multi-level intervention developed at the Univsersity of Queensland, Australia<\/li>\n<li>Involves a 4 week group based parenting programme<\/li>\n<li>Uses videos and vignettes, role play, and tip sheets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Baby Massage Classes<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Offered during first year (0-10 months)<\/li>\n<li>Delivered by mentors trained by Baby Massage Ireland<\/li>\n<li>Involves 5 group sessions of approximately 2 hours each<\/li>\n<li>To promote interaction and communication between parents and babies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blue Group (low dosage) All 118 families in the low treatment group receive the following services for 5 years: 1-year Facilitated Access to Preschool Improved quality of local preschools as outlined in the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education Reserved place for 1 year of childcare Public Health Information &amp;
