The\u00a0<em>PFL\u00a0<\/em>programme involves joint work with, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cecde.ie\/\" target=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Centre for Early Child Development and Education<\/a>\u00a0(CECDE) to support early years providers in meeting\u00a0the\u00a0S\u00edolta\u00a0standards outlined in National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.education.ie\/home\/home.jsp?pcategory=27173&amp;ecategory=27173&amp;language=EN\" target=\"1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Education and Skills<\/a>\u00a0to develop the Early Start Programme, and the HSE, local schools and service providers to review, improve, and integrate services.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geary.ucd.ie\/preparingforlife\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/primary-school-children-001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-381\" style=\"margin: 10px;\" title=\"primary-school-children-001\" src=\"https:\/\/geary.ucd.ie\/preparingforlife\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/primary-school-children-001-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/geary.ucd.ie\/preparingforlife\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/primary-school-children-001-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/geary.ucd.ie\/preparingforlife\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/primary-school-children-001.jpg 460w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The service integration evaluation aimed to measure the success of this wider integration of services within the community and the successful integration of the\u00a0<em>PFL\u00a0<\/em>service components and\u00a0was key to the evaluation of the\u00a0<em>PFL\u00a0<\/em>programme. In sum, the service integration evaluation determined the extent of integration between the various services throughout the duration of the programme, in addition to the factors that have aided or hampered integration of these services.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the process evaluation, the\u00a0service integration evaluation used a multi-sequenced design which integrated systematic self-reporting by programme staff, focus group methods, qualitative analytical techniques and semi-structured interviews with programme staff and participating families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a\u00a0central component of the\u00a0PFL\u00a0programme is to work with statutory and voluntary purchasers and service providers to improve the quality of service provision and promote inter-agency collaboration.
